Some of my artwork has been enhanced using a variety of mixed media including paper, plaster, canvas, wood, textile, leaves, metal and occasionally found objects. These paintings project off the canvas and call attention to themselves in dramatic fashion. Shadows cast from their uneven surfaces change throughout the day and create subtle harmonies unique to each image.
"Bneep Bneep" shown above consists of an image that has been sculpted from plaster-resin directly onto the canvas, then incorporated into the painted image of a Roadrunner scoping out his territory to seek potential lunch opportunities. Once completed, I mounted this painting into a hand-made frame as unique as the painting.
If you're looking for a conversation piece as rustic as nature itself, these are "paintings" you'll love to touch.
